Van Loan. It was listed as being in the Baptism Record, Reformed
Church, Coxsackie:1738-1899. I am trying to verify if this is the same
Catharine Armstrong who married Henry Hotaling in 1843/1845 in
Coxsackie and had Rebecca in 1845 in Coxsackie.

I have an abundance of information regarding John Foster and his descendants.
John was born in 1823 at Stephensville (Alcove), Albany Co., NY where he died
in 1888. John married Elizabeth Sickles of Coeymans on Nov. 17, 1849 by
Esquire William S. Briggs of Stephensville. (Coeymans Town Records in the New
York State Library). John is buried in the old cemetery at Medway, Greene
Co. The family resided in Greene Co. and John served in the Civil War. John
was the son of Richard Foster and Sarah Lawson (Lossing, Lassen, etc.)
Richard Foster was the son of Caleb Foster and Rachel Hustad (Husted). Caleb
served in the Revolutionary War. He was born in Stonington, CT, married in
Dutchess Co. and died in Greene Co. There may be a connection to Benjamin
Foster of Greenville. I do have an ancestral tree for this Benjamin. Any

Mormons a list of about 100 Hoffman names dating from as early as 1687>
This list had names from Dutchess , Ulster, and Columbia Counties. It also

Keturah and brother Daniel were born in the 1840's and were of Tuscarora or Mohawk Indian
descent. Both moved to Delaware County by 1880's. Keturah married Christian Cline and had
6 children, then, after his death, married Leroy Stewart. She died in 1923. Daniel is
shown on the 1900 census as married to Ruth ? and living in Hancock, NY, with two children
living at home, Daniel Jr and Arthur. SSDI shows an Arthurn Kniffen receiving his last
benefit in Coxsackie, NY. Are any of his descendents out there? Who were Keturah and

Jonas and Sarah are my wife's g-g-grandparents. Their first son, Revilo S.
Krum was b. 11 Sep, 1841, in Greene Co. About 5 years later, they moved to
Maulden, NY.

Seeking the parents of Wells LAKE, b. 15 Apr, 1796. On the 1855 NY State
Census of Ontario Co. Wells says he was b. in Green Co. NY, since that county
wasn't formed till 1800 it's likely he was born in that area from which it
was formed.
He died 14 Aug. 1857 probably Farmington, Ontario, NY. He married Harriet
SABIN 30 Jun 1816 in Jefferson Co. NY. She died 19 Jan. 1861 probably
Farmington also. She is the daughter of Isaac SABIN and Wealthy JACKSON.
Their children are Stephen, Charles, Isaac, Lucy, Sally, Myron, Allen, David
and Harriet.

York State Library). John is buried in the old cemetery at Medway, Greene
Co. The family resided in Greene Co. and John served in the Civil War. John
was the son of Richard Foster and Sarah LAWSON, (LASSING, LOSSING, etc.)
Richard Foster was the son of Caleb Foster and Rachel Hustad (Husted). Any

Elisha, age 11, and Andrew, age 1. There was also a son Chauncey, b. after 1860. She
married after 1881 Hiram STEWART, who was apparently the father of at least the sons,
because he left them money in his will in 1891 (his own father, Seneca STEWART, left him
out of a direct bequest in 1861 with the words "to the lawful children of my son
Hiram by his present lawful wife Peggy, $500 to be divided equally between the said
children of the said Hiram Stewart & Peggy, his wife, share and share alike.").

Catskill most of his life. Last residence was 72 Hill st. He grew
vegetables in Catskill and sold them in Hudson and Catskill. He died in

I am interested in information on William and Lillian Wieble Mauter and their
son, Charles. William and Lillian lived in Van Nest, NY in 1905 when Charles
was born. Oral history is that William and Lillian owned a fish store in
Brooklyn until Charles lost his leg in a motorcycle accident and the family
moved to Catskill to start over. He was married to Violet Rogan at the time.
The marriage ended and Violet moved back to Brooklyn with her daughter, Joan
(b. Dec. 1932). We know that Charles was employed by Racex Lime and Fuel
Corp., (Catskill) in March 1944. We believe that he remarried a woman named
Betty and they owned the Greene Lake Casino and Resort in the 1950's.
Lillian was supposed to have been at least part Native American.

Greene Cty, NY census for 1850 or 1855 or 1860. They had a son, Henry
Scofield Porter b. 1843 in Oneonta, Otsego Cty, NY. Henry served in

- PRINK - 9/19/00 -- Peter Henry 1800-1865, wife Euretta Eliza Collins. Born in NY City,
was a Baptist minister in the Greene County area in the 1840's just previous
to moving to Oshkosh, Wisconsin in about 1849. Was in the 1850 census in
Wisconsin with his wife and their large family. Would like any information
about him or his family while living in Greene County, NY, and of his mother
Jane Myer Brink widow of Henry Brink 1780-1815, family of Saugerties, NY.
There was a family name change from Brink to Prink. His uncle also had the
name Peter Henry (Brink) 1790-c.1835, a son Peter Henry Brink II and a
grandson Peter Henry Brink III, that family line remaining on the family farm
in Saugerties until the end of the 1800's, with a special exclusion
preventing Rev. Peter Henry Prink from ministering at the nearby church
donated by the Peter Brink family, grandchildren of Ensign Peter Brink of the
Rev. War & his wife Sarah Cole.

I have an abundance of information regarding John Foster and his descendants.
John was born in 1823 at Stephensville (Alcove), Albany Co., NY where he died
in 1888. John married Elizabeth SICKLES of Coeymans on Nov. 17, 1849 by
Esquire William S. Briggs of Stephensville. (Coeymans Town Records in the New
York State Library). John is buried in the old cemetery at Medway, Greene
Co. The family resided in Greene Co. and John served in the Civil War.

Civil War Records, Egbert enlisted in Kingston, NY in 1861. Later he
re-enlisted in Michigan in 1862. While filing for a pension, a sister
Mary was mentioned as having the family Bible. She stated that his date
of birth was 8-11-1839. He was orphaned about the age of 5. Mary, his
sister, was later found in Adrian, Michigan. Married name?. She left

Orden (1727-1813) and Catharine Tryntje DuBois (1729-1805). Peter was
my great-great-great grandfather who, with his third wife, Mary
Crooker Carbine, was the proprietor of an inn in Windham, New York, in
the Catskill Mountains. They are buried in a small private cemetery

about Mary Crooker Carbine (daughter of William Crooker and Anna

Edward m. Lydia Chidester), William m. ?, John m. Ellen? and Jacob ?

- WATROUS family - 2/13/00 -- Mary Jane WATROUS was born in Springfield, Mass in
about 1825. She married John Emerson HITCHCOCK in 1846, probably in
or near Windham, and she died in Windham. I have their children's
info, but does anyone have information on Mary Jane or any other

- WATROUS, BEACH - 11/10/00 --
I am looking for any information about Phineas Watrous born @1806 in
N.Y. married Armaritta BEACH @ 1825/6. They had about 11 children:
Christopher, Sylvia Jane, Lilia,Harriet, G.B., H.R.,William Schuyler,
Benjamin Thurber, M.A., and Alice. They moved to Illinois around
1854-55 and I have information about some of their lives in Illinois.
Their eldest son Christopher was born in Durham, N.Y., and was buried
in Hartford, Conn. 1905., and Armaritta Beach Watrous' mother died in
Catskill, N.Y. I think Harriet Watrous married and stayed in N.Y. and
maybe Lilia too? Maybe they have relative decendants in the Greene Co.

1781 in Greenville. They were in Batavia, Genesee County, NY, in 1818 when
their daughter Amanda was born, and in 1833 moved to Royalton Twp, Fulton
County, Ohio, where they were recorded as being from Tioga County, NY.
